Illinois Tech Global

Throughout its history, Illinois Tech has been a global university, serving students from all walks of life and all corners of the globe. Traditionally, that meant learners availing themselves of our in-person educational programs on campus in Chicago.  In the 1970s, Illinois Tech became one of the first universities to offer distance learning through a synchronous televised course delivery system known as IITV to corporate and organizational partners in the Chicagoland area.  This was replaced in the 1990s with IIT Online, which offers asynchronous courses and programs to a worldwide audience.  Today, our global footprint includes in-person and online, in Chicago and in-country, and undergraduate/graduate degrees and micro credentials through an ecosystem of institutional offerings and a growing array of global partnerships. The common theme in all of these programs is an unwavering commitment to our founding mission to provide a high-quality education to students from all backgrounds by utilizing new technologies and techniques in a modern context where there is global demand for our technical programs and world-recognized credentials.
