Program Modality Definitions
On Campus
All academic coursework is completed in person on campus.
No courses are required to be taken online, but some courses may be offered with an online modality. Student may take those courses offered online as such so long as they also maintain external requirements for Visas or full-time enrollment status.
Online
All academic coursework is completed fully online.
There are no in-person attendance requirements.
Hybrid
The program combines both online and in-person coursework.
Students must complete at least one in-person course or component to meet graduation requirements.
Course Modality Definitions
On Campus
Courses where students attend in-person classes on a scheduled basis.
This category includes two subtypes:

Traditional: The entire course is delivered in person with faculty and students in the same physical classroom.

Live Cast: Students are physically present in the classroom, while the instructor teaches synchronously online. A teaching assistant or support staff member is present in the classroom to facilitate.
Online
Courses completed entirely online, with no required on-campus attendance.
Two instructional formats are defined:

Online Synchronous: Course is conducted fully online; students and instructors meet and interact in real time through virtual platforms.
(Exam proctoring may occur online or in person if required.)

Online Asynchronous: Course is conducted fully online; students access and complete materials on their own schedule.
Interaction occurs over time through discussion boards or similar platforms.
(Exam proctoring may occur online or in person if required.)
Hybrid
The majority of coursework is delivered online, but some exams, projects, or other required activities must be completed on campus.
