Certificate in Sustainable Enterprise

The Certificate in Sustainable Enterprise focuses on the theory and practice of environmental and social sustainability in business environments. The program encompasses the intersection of sustainability and innovation in managing a business, strategies, and tools of the emerging field of industrial ecology. The certificate also serves as an introduction to the rapidly growing field of social entrepreneurship.

Certificate programs are offered in several disciplines taught at the Stuart School of Business. These programs provide students with post-baccalaureate knowledge of an area of specialization within the respective discipline. Students in these programs register as certificate students. Certificate programs require a set of three to four courses. Students admitted to a master’s degree program may apply some coursework previously taken in a certificate program toward master’s degree requirements. This certificate is designed for professionals seeking to increase their knowledge and skills in a particular area and earn stackable credentials toward a degree program.
